Replay at the court

Every camera with Replay on keeps a rolling window of the last two minutes. Reviewing one court never interrupts another court, or the stream from either.

In this guide

  1. The replay window
  2. The controls
  3. The keys operators use
  4. Every angle, same moment
  5. Save a clip
  6. The clip library
  7. Referee View

The replay window

The window is 120 seconds by default. An admin changes it in Settings, "System Config", "Replay Buffer Window": off, or anything from 15 seconds to 10 minutes. A longer window uses more disk.

The controls

The "Playback" tab has "-30s", "-10s" and "-5s", "+5s", "+10s" and "+30s", a timeline you can drag, "Play" and "Pause", and "Live".

  • After a jump back, the picture holds for 2 seconds, then plays by itself.
  • When replay reaches the present it returns to live after 5 seconds.
  • "Live" goes back to live at once.

Every angle, same moment

Every camera keeps the same timeline. Paused on the bounce? Choose another camera in "Select Input" (or press its number) and you are at the same instant from the other angle.

Save a clip

  • "Save Clip" saves the camera you are watching. A dialog asks for a clip name, and you can add the event, court, players, email addresses, tags and notes.
  • "Save Scene Clip" saves one clip from every camera in the scene with Replay on, named with the time, with no dialog.

Every save holds the full replay window, as an MP4 with its time, camera and tags. A save is refused when it would leave less than 5 GB free on the disk.

The clip library

"Clips" in the status bar opens the library. It shows clips still being made, then every saved clip, with "Search clips" and filters for "Today", "Last 7 days", "Last 30 days" and "Any time". The "Recent:" strip under the preview holds the latest few.

  • "Keep" marks a clip "Kept": retention never removes it. "Clear keep" undoes it.
  • "Delete" moves a clip to the bin, where it can be restored for 48 hours.

Referee View

A referee sees Referee View on the courts assigned to them: "-30s", "-10s", "-5s", "Pause" and "Play", "Live", the camera buttons and "Save Clip", plus the scoreboard and clock of those courts. See Accounts, roles and retention.
