Becoming a MAW coach
Email support@maw.gg. Coaches are approved by MAW through a recognized certification (PPR, PTR, USPTA or similar) or an interview, are 18 or over, and verify their identity and age with us. Coaches review adult players. There is no subscription and no listing fee: MAW earns only its 10% of paid reviews.
Set your menu
- Your hourly rate. A review costs your rate times the length of the video reviewed, not the time you spend.
- Your minimum, at least $15. A short video costs your minimum.
- Your turnaround, up to 14 days, counted from when you accept a review.
For example, at $80 an hour with a $25 minimum, a 15-minute video costs the player $25.00 and you receive $22.50; a 60-minute video costs $80.00 and you receive $72.00.
How a player books
- The player chooses clips from their MAW account, or uploads their own video, and books your review.
- Booking places a hold on the player's card. Nothing is charged yet.
- You have 24 hours to accept. If you do not, the hold is released and the player is not charged.
- When you accept, the card is charged and your turnaround starts.
Deliver the review
Review the video in coach.maw.gg with notes pinned to moments and clip edits, then deliver it; the player gets it in their account. A review not delivered by your deadline is refunded to the player in full and is not paid.
Getting paid
MAW keeps 10%. Your share is credited when you deliver, and paid through Stripe once a month, in a batch, when your balance reaches $50; a smaller balance carries to the next month. You give Stripe your tax and bank details when you sign up, and a 1099 is issued where the law requires it.
Refunds
A delivered review is refunded only for a real problem, such as the wrong video reviewed or a blank or unusable review, as MAW support decides. If a review is refunded or disputed after you have been paid, we take it back from your next payout. Players ask for a refund at support@maw.gg.
